Starting Winbox

before start using winbox  you must connect your computer directly to the Mikrotik router with an ethernet cable or connect them throw a switch.


1. click the discovery button [...].
2. you will see your router mac address and ip in a pop-up window. 
3. click on mac address and it will be typed in the [connect to] text box.
4. click connect button and wait for winbox gui load.

1. • Group saved routers and keep big lists of them
2. • Sort by IP address, MAC, version etc.
3. • Filter and search in Saved or Neighbors
4. • Ability to keep Loader open when connecting
5. • Winbox can now self-upgrade
6. • If the connection is lost, it will offer to reconnect later
7. • Log can be sorted, and now has columns

winbox for android 

there is many apps for winbox on google paly store

but unfortunately its not an official app from Mikrotik. 

we will not be seeing any official app soon and if you ask why you can visit Mikrotik forum and you will find a complete answer.
